If his name doesn’t give it away, Scoobert Doobert is a bit of a goof, a class clown if you will. And while his music has feel good and bouncy vibes, it packs a punch. Like other indie artists, Scoobert currently has a flair of 80’s groove that compliments the modern lyrical style. Although “Don’t Worry” has all the elements of a basic indie pop-rock song, Scoobert’s talented writing skills and playful text painting with the instrumental takes it to the next level.

Scoobert says “Don’t Worry” is a song “about worrying about worrying,” ragging on the annoying reminders from self-care apps and societal pressure to constantly be busy. The song begins with a crashing of drums that feel like falling down after being overwhelmed and the looseness of the guitar melody gives a feeling of light sea sickness. The fact that Scoobert includes those elements, yet the song can be played on repeat is a testament to his musical talents.

If you’re a worrier this song will definitely speak to you so try and not worry about anything for the whole 3:05 minute long track. Scoobert has plenty of music to indulge in and more to come with the release of his new album Big Hug. Check him out on Instagram @mr.scoobert_doobert or check out his interview with Vents Magazine.
